Bilbo feels useful now. For example, he saved the dwarves from the elven king and from the spiders. Additionally, now the respect comes naturally and seems like he's one of them now. -Jonathan and Adrian

Bilbo feels useful to the group and to Thorin. On page 170, it says "...the hobbit showed his usefulness." The dwarves respect him and even depend on him sometimes.

Bilbo feels that he is more useful now because he freed the dwarves from the prison and saved them from the huge spiders. He also feels that the dwarves are treating him more like a leader.

Bilbo used to feel helpless as a group member, but now he feels very heroic. He was able help the dwarfs several times with his ring, but now he feels the dwarfs are relying on him to get them out of all their tough situations.

hi
Bilbo now feels helpful and more confident. This is because instead of giving up and going home, he ended up rescuing the dwarves from wood-elves and murderous spiders. He probably feels like the dwarves respect and appreciate him a lot more.

Bilbo feels more important and confident now that he has helped the dwarves in many dangerous situations. He has freed them from jail, delayed the trolls, freed from web and fought off spiders. The dwarves respect and couldn't make it this far in this adventure without
him.

Bilbo feels more confident and less lost now because of all the battles and situations. Before, he felt confused and useless. Now, he's like the leader of the group. He likes the way the group treats him because they trust him more and have more faith.

3) Bilbo used to feel helpless as a group member and now he feels brave and confident. He also feels useful. He feels bad at how the dwarves treat him.

Bilbo finally sees his usefulness in the group now because he killed the giant spiders and now freed the dwarfs from the elven king. He can now see that he is more than just a useless little hobbit. He admires the way that the dwarfs are treating him because they are making him feel needed and wanted.
